Based on your preferences and the atmosphere you would like to create, Mari personally selects kimono and accessories for each guest in advance.

On the day, Mari will come to your accommodation or preferred location, where you can get ready at your own pace in a private setting.

After dressing, you’ll also learn simple ways to stand, walk, and move gracefully in kimono, so you can feel comfortable and confident throughout your day in Kyoto.

From choosing each piece to learning how to move in kimono, this experience is about enjoying the entire time you spend with kimono—not simply putting one on.

After your reservation, we’ll ask about your preferred colors and style, as well as your plans for the day.

On the day, Mari will arrive with a selection of kimono personally chosen for you.

Together, we’ll choose the obi and accessories to complement your kimono and create a look that feels like you.

Even subtle differences in color and texture can completely change the impression of a kimono.

The time spent choosing is part of the experience.

2. Dressing

You’ll be carefully dressed in kimono, one step at a time.

Enjoy the process as your look slowly comes together.

3. Graceful Movement

You’ll learn simple ways to stand, walk, and move gracefully in kimono.

Just a little awareness can make your time in kimono feel more natural and comfortable.

4. Time in Kyoto

Once dressed, the rest of the day is yours.

Stroll through Kyoto, enjoy a meal, visit a garden or café, or simply go wherever the day takes you.
