Wa days. vol.4 Autumn
Wa days. vol.4 Autumn
A slow autumn day in kimono
A Kimono That Feels Like You
And an autumn spent embracing the beauty of Japanese tradition.
Wa days. — “Japanese-inspired everyday moments.”
A kimono workshop where you can slow down, notice the changing seasons, and enjoy a quiet moment of Japanese tradition in your everyday life.
For our autumn Wa days., we invite you to take a little more time to enjoy the experience of dressing in kimono.
It begins with choosing from Kashu’s selection of kimono, obi, and accessories. Mix and match freely to create a styling that feels uniquely yours.
Once your styling is complete, Mari will carefully dress you, paying special attention to the neckline and the balance around your face. She will also share a few subtle tips that can make a beautiful difference to the way your kimono looks on you.
The result is a kimono look that feels natural, effortless, and truly your own.
Once dressed, we’ll head into autumn at Shūsuitei, where you’ll have your photographs taken.
Between shots, take your time to admire the garden, wander at your own pace, or simply enjoy being surrounded by the beauty of the season in kimono.
To finish, we’ll serve seasonal wagashi and tea.
For this workshop, we’ve asked Kyoto wagashi maker Kashiya Nona to create a special seasonal sweet for us.
Take a quiet break, enjoying the flavors of autumn as you look out over the beautiful garden.
Choose your kimono.
Dress in it.
Take in the autumn scenery.
Taste the flavors of the season
This is about more than simply wearing a kimono.
We hope you’ll enjoy a gentle autumn moment that allows you to experience the quiet beauty and sense of ease found within Japanese culture.
